I’m Diego Antón, a 23-year-old professional surf lifesaving athlete from Zamora, Spain. I started competing at a young age and since then the sport has become more than just a competition — it’s a way of life. My days revolve around training, recovery and constantly pushing to be better.

What drives me is a simple but powerful belief: this is not a game. High performance demands discipline, commitment and a mindset that never settles. I don’t just train to compete — I train to grow, to improve, and to leave a mark. My goal is to become the most decorated athlete in Castilla y León beach history. At international level I have competed in the OceanPerf Challenge 2024 and 2025, the RedBull Ocean Rescue 2025 and the Shaw & Partners World Ocean Series Hossegor Classic 2026.

Beyond competing, I run my own personal brand, DLPro (Diego Lifesaver Pro), where I create content on YouTube and Instagram to share the world of surf lifesaving with a wider audience and inspire other athletes. I have an active and growing community across both platforms. I’m also a GoYourWaves sponsored athlete and camp monitor, combining my passion for the sport with coaching the next generation of athletes.

Looking ahead, my goal is to keep making history in Castilla y León, continue growing on the international circuit and represent Spain at European Championships, World Championships and professional international series.
