Board Paddling
Aside from training and competing I enjoy playing piano, listening to music while studying, going for easy runs and spending time with family and friends.
Newport
Coming from a kayaking foundation, the wonderful craftsmanship of BOS skis created a seamless and enjoyable transition to surf racing. Reece’s hospitality at the 2025 Aussies introduced me to the unique design, and I was more than happy to let his expertise guide me onto my first Nemesis ski. Since then ski training has become a highlight of my schedule, and I know that no matter the conditions this ski has my back. I couldn’t be more excited and proud to be a part of the BOS team!

Personal Profile
I first began training and competing for Black Head SLSC in the u11 age group, alongside playing both club and representative soccer on the weekends. What eventually inspired me to pursue this sport was ultimately my love of the unpredictability, of the beach, and for a team that was only just beginning to flourish. Despite how terrified I was to face 6 foot swell at my first Branch carnival, or to visit the YMCA in an attempt to improve my swimming, I knew the feeling of conquering my doubts would always be worth it. Showing up to training has always felt like more than practice – it’s doing what I love, strengthening bonds with teammates, taking my mind off school, and always pushing hard to become a better version of myself. Being proud at the end of the day is a feeling I constantly strive for, and it’s where I find a love for both surf sports and kayaking.
My main academic goal is to attend Sydney Uni, which will in turn base me closer to my new club Newport and the facilities they offer. I certainly have plenty of sports specific goals, including joining the NSWISS team, qualifying for kayak worlds and continual improvement on my ski, however I’m also very excited to see where my passion will take me academically, in my career and with travel.
I could never forget the unending support of my family, teammates, competitors, coaches, community, and the team at BOS, in particular Reece and Sharon. Thanks to these incredible people I’ve discovered that my contentment as an athlete doesn’t depend solely on the results I achieve, but rather on acknowledging how lucky I am to be involved in such amazing sports. (Of course good results are a bonus!!!) I can’t wait to see what’s next for me in both surf sports and kayaking, and I’m excited to continue achieving and surpassing my goals.
