At 14, I have recently started paddling and although I’ve had very limited experience with ski paddling so far, getting the chance to use a BOS ski has made a huge difference in my confidence and progress. From the first session, I could feel how stable and well-designed the ski was, making it easier for me to focus on improving my technique and enjoying the feeling of the ski in the ocean. Seeing top athletes at our club powering through the surf on a BOS ski made a huge impression on me. They compete with such speed, control and confidence and I knew straight away that I needed to be on a BOS ski as well. The support and encouragement I have received from Reece and the BOS team means so much to me. Even as a beginner, the BOS ski and the people behind it have given me a sense of belief in myself to keep pushing in this new discipline. I’m excited for what’s ahead and am honoured to be a BOS ambassador.

Personal Profile
I am a 14-year-old surf lifesaving athlete and I am currently in Grade 9. I’ve grown up in and around the surf and have been with Burleigh Heads Mowbray Park surf Club since Under 6’s where my dad was my AGL and taught me a deep love for the ocean. Surf lifesaving has taught me the importance of discipline, resilience, and teamwork. I thrive on the challenge of pushing myself every day, whether it’s during early morning swim sets, board training in rough conditions, or tough ski paddling and kayaking sessions that all put my strength and determination to the test. What drives me most is the feeling of accomplishment after giving my all and knowing that every session brings me one step closer to my dream of becoming a professional iron woman.
My journey in surf lifesaving hasn’t always been easy, and I’ve faced challenges that have really tested my strength. A few years ago, I underwent surgery that left me having to relearn how to walk properly—something most people take for granted. It was a long and difficult recovery, both physically and mentally, but it taught me resilience and the power of perseverance. More recently, in January 2025 I broke my foot at training. This injury forced me to step back from training and competing just when I felt I was gaining momentum. Whilst injuries are never easy, they’ve reminded me how much I love this sport and how hard I am willing to work to come back stronger. These setbacks have become part of my story. They’ve taught me to never take a moment for granted and to keep pushing forward no matter what challenges come my way.
Family is everything to me—they’re my biggest supporters and my role models. They’ve taught me the importance of humility, hard work, and staying true to myself. I carry those values with me in everything I do, both in and out of the water. I’m a team player who lifts others up. My two best friends who have been training at swimming and surf with me since we were 6 are also a big part of my life. I’m proud of the person I’m becoming—driven, grounded, and passionate—and I’m excited for the journey ahead as I work towards becoming a professional Ironwoman, mastering every discipline one step at a time.
